不论是虚拟货币或是CBDC，对于中小企业国际贸易发展都是一片崭新的蓝海。根据Financial Express最近的报告显示：巴西、加拿大、德国、香港、爱尔兰、俄罗斯、新加坡、阿拉伯联合酋长国和美国等九个不同国家和地区的中小企业（SME）对接受包括bitcoin在内的加密货币支付的想法持非常开放的态度。
该报告总共调查了2250个市场实体，24%的受访者表示他们计划在短期内接受数字货币，而高达59%的参与者表示，他们计划在2025年初完全过渡到使用数字货币支付。
虚拟货币跨境支付的利弊
虚拟货币支付提供了一系列好处：例如，在数字资产方面，银行系统标准和通胀严重的问题得到了完全缓解。不仅如此，接受bitcoin和其他数字货币可以帮助吸引加密爱好者的额外业务，并增加利润，但虚拟货币始终具备波动较大的隐患。
区块链软件公司Jelurida的联合创始人兼董事Lior Yaffe指出，想要接受比特币但担心价格严重下跌的企业主应该简单地“在收到BTC后立即将其转换为法定货币”。在Yaffe看来，企业接受bitcoin的决定不应该基于短期的价格波动，并补充说：
“即使波动很大，中小企业也有令人信服的理由接受bitcoin，例如能够直接控制资金而不依赖第三方机构。通过互联网销售商品和服务的企业，在使用现有信用卡系统时遇到问题的企业，位于当地货币极端国家的企业，无法与当地银行系统合作的企业都可以从BTC的使用中受益。”
应该注意，如今接受加密支付的实体并不缺乏问题，因为纳税和业务费用需要以当地法定货币支付。但这让会计账目变得更加困难，网络安全风险也随之增加。
